What to Wear Guide Senior Portraits

I think one of the biggest challenges once you book your senior portraits is O M G  What am I going to wear? Senior pictures are a really big deal and I know you want to look your best.  Sooo I put together this guide, “What to Wear Guide Senior Portraits” to help you out!

First and foremost while you want to be comfortable and be “you”, you will also want to have VARIETY. Pants, shorts, skirts and dresses are all outfits that you can wear that can give your different looks a lot of variety. While keeping variety in your different looks, you can still maintain modern fashion trends while mixing them with timeless foundations. For example Denim is a timeless classic. You can dress it up with just about anything. As well as dress it down. But on the subject of dressing it up and making it modern, take a pair of your denim skinnies add a cute top with a coral blazer (Which is the modern fashion trend at the moment) pair it with say mint colored jewelry and there you go! So below is a little guide I put together for some visual inspiration! Remember to stay true to who you are.

Things to keep in mind, wear clothing that flatters your figure. Make sure it fits well and it is not too big. Clothing that is too big can make your images look sloppy.

Consider where your shoot will take place when choosing your outfits. In a field setting? Choose appropriate outfits.

Choosing pieces that can mix and match to add variety is also a win win. Less changing time for you 🙂

Use color palettes in choosing your colors and be creative!

Layers are great and add dimension to your images. So winter examples can be, jackets, sweaters, hats and scarfs. Summer options, belts, necklaces sun hats glasses ect. I am a big fan of accessorized jewelry.  It really can add a lot to the final product.
